Still looking for book sale managers

We still need book sale managers to oversee our sale programs. The ideal candidate loves books, loves to be around books and loves to share that love with others.  In the meantime,  longtime volunteer Carol Eagles is stepping back into the role while the search continues. No need to be a Friends member to take on this rewarding challenge.  Read more about the volunteer job from our board president, Rosemary Conor.  Have more questions? Email friendsoflaceylibrary@gmail.com.

Counting down to the BIG, BIG book sale

We cancelled our June book sale so we could bring you this one and only summer event. Great selections on all your favorites: mystery hardbacks, fiction hardbacks and cookbooks.

Same low prices: $1 hardbacks and trade paperbacks, 25-cent paperbacks (less if you buy five at a time) and children’s books that start at 25 cents. Videos are 25 cents to $3.

Can’t make it? There are two sales left in the year–October 6-7 and December 1-2. Remember, we put out holiday-themed books in the fall sale, a good time to search for that elusive Christmas mystery or craft book.

Notables

Good variety of WWI and WWII books, including a set of  “battle-books,” complete with maps, in excellent condition.

Great selection of quality children’s books such as picture books and chapter books.

Potentially a lot of travel, self help, some NW hiking guides and a huge amount of westerns.
