It is also an opportunity to think about and inquire about new volunteer opportunities. There are new volunteer categories on the membership app. If you circle one or two that interest you, a board member will contact you with further info and answer your questions.
Membership fees remain unchanged: $5 for Individuals, $10 for Families and a Lifetime Membership is $100 (no renewal necessary). You can bring your application to the Annual Meeting on Saturday, Jan 14th, mail it to the library address on the form, or bring it in and place it in the money box on the wall by the in house book sale. Don’t miss this year’s annual meeting as we welcome Harriet Baskas and her program: The Ancient Fruitcake: What Really, Really Old Food Tells Us about History, Culture, Love, and Memory. We also elect officers during this meeting, recap the previous year and make plans for the upcoming year. Lunch is served with entertainment following.

We put out our holiday books during this book sale. Get the best selections on cookbooks, craft books, holiday-themed mysteries and more. Who knows what’s left by the time the December sale rolls around (remember, our sales are bi-monthly). Prices haven’t changed: $1 hardbacks, trade paperbacks and music CDs; 25-cent/5 for $1 small paperbacks and $3 DVDs.
Remember to redeem your Children’s Day book sale coupon! Grab one from the Lacey Timberland Library booth at Huntamer Park and head on down to the sale. Coupons are good on Children’s Day only.
The $1 coupon can be applied toward any book and children’s books typically start at 25 cents.

The Friends of the Lacey Library has two vacancies on its board of directors: historian and secretary. Only requirement is membership in the Friends group. (Not a member? Join us.)
The secretary is responsible for recording meeting minutes, while the the historian keeps track of Friends documents, both current and historical. Both are voting members and help shape Friends programs and its support of your Lacey Timberland Library, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
