It’s not too late to get an awesome deal on quilt books. We took the remaining supply from our special Cookbooks in September sale and are placing them in the Friends book kiosk. Volunteers replenish the stock regularly so be sure to check whenever the library is open. The kiosk is across from circulation desk. You can’t miss it!
Cookbook collectors: this sale is for you. With so many cookbooks in our inventory, we have no choice but to hold a one-day sale in September to share the bounty. We have books on ethnic food, desserts, vegetarian fare, crock pot dishes, seafood, casseroles…the list goes on. Many are like new so even if you can’t boil water you can certainly gift them to someone who can.
Oh, and just to keep the day interesting, the back room filled with non-fiction selections will be open; not to mention, a table or two will hold DVDs and VHS tapes (for those die-hard VCR owners), and a stash of quilting books. New selections have come in since the last sale so don’t miss out.
Books and DVDs are $1. VHS tapes are 25 cents or five for a $1. With these prices, start a kitchen library!

We still need book sale managers to oversee our sale programs. The ideal candidate loves books, loves to be around books and loves to share that love with others. In the meantime, longtime volunteer Carol Eagles is stepping back into the role while the search continues. No need to be a Friends member to take on this rewarding challenge. Read more about the volunteer job from our board president, Rosemary Conor. Have more questions? Email email@example.com.
