It’s about journeys. Go into the past, discover a human story or find a new place. Whatever road you take, it starts with the Friends Fall Spectacular Sale. We have books on history, biographies/autobiographies and travel in this special sale. Fiction and mystery will be out as well to spice things up.
Unless priced as marked, hardcovers and trade paperbacks are $1.
This is a Friday sale open to all–no membership fee required–and open all day so there is no excuse not taking your lunch break to browse for that next adventure.

‘Tis the Saturday to get your holiday books at our October book sale. We roll out selections in all categories: cookbooks, romance, children’s, craft, even mysteries. We set aside these books throughout the year for this seasonal sale, and they only needed a whiff of a holiday to them–Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwaanza, Thanksgiving, snow–to get them in the seasonal pile.
We also have the usual suspects of non-fiction (a table plus a back room), fiction, multimedia (DVD and VHS), westerns, fantasy and science fiction. As always, hardbacks and trade paperbacks are $1, children’s books start at 25 cents and paperbacks 5 for $1 or 25 cents each.
Get first pick by joining the Friends for the Friday pre-sale, a members-only event.

Cookbook collectors: this sale is for you. With so many cookbooks in our inventory, we have no choice but to hold a one-day sale in September to share the bounty. We have books on ethnic food, desserts, vegetarian fare, crock pot dishes, seafood, casseroles…the list goes on. Many are like new so even if you can’t boil water you can certainly gift them to someone who can.
Oh, and just to keep the day interesting, the back room filled with non-fiction selections will be open; not to mention, a table or two will hold DVDs and VHS tapes (for those die-hard VCR owners), and a stash of quilting books. New selections have come in since the last sale so don’t miss out.
Books and DVDs are $1. VHS tapes are 25 cents or five for a $1. With these prices, start a kitchen library!
